Placer, Masbate

Placer is a 4th class municipality in the province of Masbate, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 44,418 people in 9,035 households.

Placer was created as a municipality from the barrio of the same name which used to belong to Cataignan by virtue of Republic Act No. 292, passed June 16, 1948.[1]
